Detamachi Pier

Construction of Detamachi Pier began in 1952 and four berths (a total berth length of 516m)　were completed in 1963. This pier has transit sheds with　fumigation and controlled temperature facilities especially for bananas and fruits/vegetables. Es el sitio de la descarga principal para las frutas y verduras incluso los plátanos y piñas, para que el malecón a veces esté llamado "el malecón bananero."
